Glow Academy works with young people aged 13–19, including learners who may benefit from an alternative, vocational and more personalised approach to education.
We understand that a traditional classroom environment does not suit every young person. Some learners thrive when they are given the opportunity to learn practically, develop skills through hands-on experiences and see a clear connection between their education and their future.

Through smaller learning environments, practical activities, positive relationships and appropriate support, we aim to help learners re-engage with education, recognise their strengths and experience achievement.
For some young people, success may begin with rebuilding confidence, improving attendance or developing positive routines. For others, it may mean achieving qualifications, progressing into further education or preparing for employment. We recognise and celebrate progress in all its forms.

Our teaching goes beyond technical hair and beauty skills. We aim to develop the qualities young people need for their wider lives and future careers, including communication, reliability, resilience, teamwork, confidence, professionalism, independence and respect for others.
For many of the young people we work with, developing confidence and recognising their own potential is just as important as gaining qualifications.
We aim to provide learners with opportunities to experience success, discover new abilities and develop aspirations for their future.
Through vocational learning, recognised qualifications, personal development and real industry experiences, we help learners begin to understand where their skills could take them.
Our goal is for each young person to leave Glow Academy with a stronger sense of self-belief, achievement and direction, alongside the practical skills and qualifications they have gained.
